Robert Pocknell

Robert is a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of England & Wales.

Robert spent more than 10 years in private practice with a music and entertainment law firm in London; in 1999, he became General Counsel for Sendo, a mobile phone manufacturer based in the UK. Following the acquisition of Sendo by Motorola in 2005, Robert worked as IP Counsel for TomTom, the leading manufacturer of personal navigation devices, and managed the successful conclusion of the patent litigation commenced by Garmin.

Robert is a consultant solicitor with Origin and specialises in advice on patent and IP licensing, particularly in the field of telecommunications standards, and on devising IP strategies and managing complex cross-jurisdictional litigation. His clients range in size from sole inventors to SME’s to multinationals.
